I have created some Quest of the Avatar related resources that may be of interest to others.

I have created some Quest of the Avatar related resources that may be of interest to others, so maybe I will start gathering them here for others to use, if they are of any use.

UPDATE October 30th, 2023

I have added the an improved and updated version of Quest of the Avatar box top to the resource section.

I have added the Quest of the Avatar box bottom to the resource section.

I have built up a few resources while working on this website, and ‘feelies’ for the mod. I don’t think I will be able to ever provide feelies for Threat of the Trinity, or at least actual, real, feelies, via a kickstarter or something. However, I am making my own box, discs, and potentially map and books, so maybe I can at least distribute some of those files here, for those that are interested.

First up is a template for the Quest of the Avatar AppleII/C64 box. I have converted much of it to vectors, for nice printing. The image for the cover is the best I could currently find, though it has a sticker on it, and took a lot of work to get it presentable. Maybe if someone can lend me a higer res scan of a pristine copy, I could incorporate it into this template. This template was made as an intermediary stage in creating a template for the Threat of the Trinity box.

These are two fonts I used for the website. They are taken directly, pixel by pixel from Quest of the Avatar AppleII. They are not complete fonts, of course, but I added a few characters to make them useful for basic stuff.

Here is a touched up map I am working on. I am hoping to eventually clean this up enough so that it could be used to print new maps onto cloth.

Glad you like them. It will be nice if someone finds use for them beyond what I used them for.

I went ahead and scanned my own box. It is rough, and very scratched, scuffed, wrinkled, but, it is sticker free, so I can get some pure images. Just fooling about with this though, as my primary goal is some kind of ‘feelie’ for Trinity. A box I think. Though, I am starting to second guess what that would look like. It is an addon…I guess, akin to Forge of Virtue and the Silver Seed…so what kind of stuff would be in the box? Or what would the box look like?

I wonder all this with the presupposition that the game is coming out in 1986, not 2020.

I am currently working on the back of the Ultima IV box. However, my box is VERY damaged, and restoring a perfect hi-res image from it is proving to be a real labour.

If anyone has a box, and could do a super hi-res scan, I could then clean it up and add it to the resources here.

The Codex of Ultima Wisdom used to link to https://cambragol.github.io/advent-of-the-trinity/Hythloth_Fix but it’s been removed. Is the material still available? If so, do you think you could put the new link back into the article?

I turned that article off, because for some reason it was getting constant comment spam. I have restored it, for now. The material is again available here, and is also available, more permanently, at the ModDB, here: Hythloth Fix

I think I posted somewhere on the Codex of Ultima Wisdom as well, letting WtF Dragon know about the Hythloth and Solo patches I have hosted at the ModDB, suggesting he add them to the Codex. I am not sure if he has done that yet, though he indicated he would.
